That's what us taxpayers get for doing what they have been begging us to do. Driving less to conserve gas:pullinghair:

Doesn't it make sense that if we are all driving less, then there is less wear and tear on the roads and bridges, so why should they raise the gas tax??

Our government sucks.  It's the worst run business in the world, and would have gone bankrupt years ago if it was a real business.  Too many fat cats sitting in their mil plus DC homes, who probably haven't paid for their own gas for 20 years, making these idiotic decisions.  I didn't vote for Obama, but he would make big time points with me if he repeals any kind of legislation proposed for this.  Between state and federa; gas tax hikes, we'll be back up to $2+ gallon gas in no time.

Besides, the whole supposed purpose of the tax increase is to pay for road maintenance, but if we're driving less, shouldn't the roads need less maintenance?

just another way to help pay for NOBAMAs massive infrastructure program. That 800+ billion has to come from somewhere to pay the salaries for all those temporary jobs hes going to create to falsly stimulate the economy....  Look back at how well it worked during the depression years and how (not) successfull it was then. :smilielol:
