I gotta admit early in my relationship with the wife, she did not understand the time and money I put into my cars. We worked it out and all is good 29 years later... BUT... If your girl is not a"car girl" beware.....

If you get the family into your project it is much easier to spend the money.

Would have to agree with that one.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Tough call. I would never have the time with 3 kids under 8! Do what you feel is right in your gut. I agree with what everyone is saying. Not going to get as much as you would like for your projects, but getting a new ride will be cheaper than ever. Good luck.

If your going to do the marriage thing your cars may be doable.   If you're going to do the wife, dogs, kids, house thing you will have to wait for any big car projects. I'm just getting to do a big project because my son is 16 and interested in cars. I have a wife of 22 years,  two kids 18 and 16 and 2 dogs.

I wouldn't trade them for any car in the world. Pain in the a$$ sometimes, you bet. But a car isn't worth 1/1000th of what they mean to me.  ;)

It might be a bad time to sell, but it's a good time to buy.

Sounds to me you know where to take this, just need some reinforcement. If you want to drive something sooner than later, I'd say sell everything, pool the $$ and see what you can pick up in a 72-74 Challenger or Barracuda.

:iagree: If you can sell all three and have enough to buy a decent solid Barracuda that sounds like the best course for you.

I do not know what your financial situation is but I think what I would do is get the T bird running & sell it , start looking for the best E body you can afford even if it involves a loan , sit on the projects gor a while at least into spring & see if the economy picks up & sell them , it wil save you a ton of work & you will have a better car ulimatly
