Thread help
« on: January 04, 2009 - 01:36:00 PM »
Every time I go into a thread it always takes me to the first post on the page, even if I have read the thread before.  If it’s a multiple page thread it will take me to the top of the last page I read as well.  This started a few days ago.

Any ideas on how I can cure this annoying issue?

Thanks.

This is the way mine is all the time, very frustrating.  Didn't know that it would "remember" on it's own like Moparts does.

Check your personal settings in your profile, it can be set again

Alan I looked in my personal settings but I don't see anything I can change.  :clueless:

I have cleaned out my cookies :naughty: and reset my personal settings and it's still doing it.  :scared:

I guess since others have had this issues for ever I may have to live with it.  :crying:

Just go to Profile and under Modify Preferences select Look and Layout Preferences and check the box "Most Recent Posts First"

Just go to Profile and under Modify Preferences select Look and Layout Preferences and check the box "Most Recent Posts First"

Will I changed that and now the most recent post is on the top. A little different than before, as now the post are bottom to top, but better than having to scan through every post to see the most current.

Well, I changed it back, as I would have had to read new post from the bottom up....to weird for my taste.

Yeah I tried it and I dont like it either. I just scroll down to the bottom on fresh replies to posts anyway. It is an either or thing, either you see fresh replies right away and read bottom up on new threads or you read top down on new threads and scroll down to see new replies on old threads.

Do you have a little blue button that says "new" on it after the thread title?  If so, click the little blue button and that should take you to the next new post since your last visit.

April, I tried that as well.  it takes me to the thread....but still to the top of the thread.  :1zhelp:

I wish I knew why it changed all the sudden.   :clueless:  everything else works the same except this.
