A good object lesson for all of us.  We're just glad you're going to be OK and that your daughter still has her father.

Iam glad that your ok, it amazes me how many people hurt
themselves at home working on there car.
My friend was trying to bleed his brakes on his fairlane,
while standing outside the car, after a few pumps the car fell of the jack
pining him between the a frame of the car door and the garage wall and crushed his spine, his mum found him about an hour later .
From this he was left slightly brain damaged and not able to use his left arm properly. sad thing is he was studing to be a lawyer, now he cant work at all.
So be extra careful when working on cars that five minutes more
of safety could save your life or a life of a loved one.

Jason, glad that you are going to be OK.

After reading your post, it has reminded me not to take my floor jack for granted, or anything else when working under a car or truck.

I am guilty for taking short cuts and thererfore jepordizing my safety.

Your accident won't be in vain for it has renewed my safety awareness when working out in the garage.

Good to hear back from you, Jason.  Things like this definitely happen quickly.  Whenever I work on either the Chally or the Stealth, I always put them up on four jack stands.  Then I use the jack for an extra precautionary measure to hold up the area wherever I am underneath the car.  Before climbing underneath either car, I give it a good push from both sides to make sure it's securely planted on all jack stands.  After my close-call with the Charger, I have been a lot more cautious around any vehicle, especially MoPars that tend to have a mind of their own...(think Christine with my instance)  Glad you're okay, nonetheless. :2thumbs:  BTW: That header panel is fiberglass and it's easy to work with, so you can fix it up nicely once you're feeling better. :2thumbs:

Glad to hear that you survived that ordeal, fresh reminder to us all to be safety consious at all times. After 40 + years working on cars I have done some silly things and got away with them, but you just never know.   :bricks1:
Get better real soon, you will have to spend those boring times on this site to keep your mind off of the pain, remember that human bodies take longer to heal than cars.

I am really glad you weren't hurt any worse than you were...      We are all guilty at times of getting in a hurry and not thinking, at least I am.  So, don't be too hard on yourself.  Just be more careful next time....     :bigshades:
Thanks for sharing your story, perhaps you made someone else think a little more and you might have prevented someone else from having a problem....     :2thumbs:

Holy Jackstand, Batman!

Wow, Jason, glad to hear that nothing serious happened to you. You know what I mean.

I am sure that scared the living daylights out of you when that car came down.

I hope for a speedy recovery.

:2thumbs: Good to hear the good positive news / outcome of this Jason. Yes you were lucky but I like to think of other "reasons" for the outcome. We all seem to learn the hard way, from ours' and others' misfortune. Take care and give thanks, we sure appreciate you buddy.
