Thanks for the feedback. For whoever asked; I'm in Phoenix.
The future of the market is anyone's guess. I'm figuring, how many chances do you get to own a real 440 6 pack car with a factory shaker hood in Vitamine C. The car is a local car, sold in Arizona and it's been in this garage since 1979. The odom shows 51,000 miles.
The guy knows his stuff and has multiple Cuda's and Challengers, so there is no "deal" here. He wants $35,000 for the car and like I said earlier it's been stripped to bare metal and the panels and floor pans are perfect, not even a spot of bondo anywhere. While BJ is not the main reason I would purchase the car, it's an easy way to sell it in the next few years and get many qualified buyers in one place. I live 3 miles from where the auction happens.
I just don't know if it will take another $35,000 to finish the car or is it closer to $50,000. I did my 1967 SS Covert Camaro for about $25,000 after buying it for $8,000 as it was pretty rough. I know Cuda's are not the same, that's why I'm here.
I've never been a fan of high dollar cars as I enjoy driving them. I would be just as happy with a 318 Cuda I could paint the color I want, drop a 383 in and add customized touches here and there to make it my own. Plus I would be in it for half the price or less. I just don't want the car of a lifetime to pass me by without doing my homework.
