Well after all of the degree's I have it was a lot of work for sure.  Dont know if they are are a sign of success or just paper.  I know a lot of people look at what you have or dont have.  I have been on both sides of the fence on this one for sure.   Just having the degree does not say that you know everything.  I like education didn't always but I always like to learn something new.  I also love to teach.  I love it when I can teach someone something new.  The look in there eyes saying to me that they found some new knowledge is so good of a feeling.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

And with all your degrees, your in another country, not paying taxes to help us get on our feet. And you have all those degrees where you could be here.   That was mean huh?  But you said you were staying away since where you were born and raised sucked so bad you couldnt make it here. Something about a job or something like that. Now your making a fist full of dollars and poor ole me is weak from the economy.

Just kidding.   I know yer educating people right now.   But the world is still spinning here in the USA and when you decide to come back home, you can pay us to help you build your dream car and then we will have an even better econonmy cause that is one more person helping us out when were down :clueless:

BS in Mathematics from Mizzou. Just took the GRE today, so I should be starting grad school in a year or two. The degree is only because of the military and not because I like math. They waved money and Lt bars in my face and I ran with it!

As for as taxes I will still have to pay those.  Yea I do make pretty good money.  But the way I look at it. It is about time I made good money.  One of the guys over here had a saying when he was home.  He said he wanted a good job that paid real well and work less.  Well we got it.   I am willing to pay to get my car done without a problem.  If it had not been for an ex wife I would have been able to stay at home this time.  I just want to be able to get my dream car done, Buy some land and build my dream garage.  I have already bought and paid for my house.  Just thought that finally my education and all my training have paid off in the job I have now.

I have no degree, I got lucky, I graduated high school and didn't want to go to colege right away, really didn't know what I wanted to do. So I traveled to Arizona for a couple of years then came back to Missouri. I met my wife and got married and I left my job to go to another and worked my way up from a shop floor employee to a supervisor, then to OPS manager, this position was supposed to have a As & BS degree.  I'm currently working on my AS degree as self accomplishment and a resume builder.

I`m qualified farrier... I know a thing or two about horsepower... and beating the s..t out of hot steel

My Dad was a ferrier all my life and finally quit due to a bad back. He is and has been a truck driver as well. He did the horse shoeing on the side and had quite a few loyal customers and did some aluminum race horse shoes for a while (BIG $$$).

All that was good enough for consistent 100K plus wages. After seeing the shape he's in I wouldn't have done either at the price his back has paid.

I would like to get into the ferrier trade as it is something I always loved helping him with as a kid and watching him. Not for a job but as a legacy thing. It's an art. I remember going to the Grand Canyon when I was eight, Dad asked if he could give it a try on one of the mules they use in the canyon. It was probably the hardest feat I have ever see anyone do. Those mules were BAD ASSSES!
He has alot of knowledge about horses and horseshoeing I want to gleen from.

BS in Computer Science

Was employed in the IT field for 26 years. Got laid off in Feb 08. No work since then. Seems there are jobs for me everywhere but around here. Hate cities.

I don't have a degree and the new person I tried to train recently was untrainable.
So they decided to let her go. She was a recent college grad. This is just one person of course I'm talking about.

But the moral of the story is when you start a job right out of school, you got a lot to unlearn and re learn.

As far as my backround; I guess you could say I have a degree in sales if there is one.
Some college and Military backround combined.
