    :woo: I feel inspired, Got it running after 22 years of setting. What a blast to drive it again. This is an all urigional U code car that was ordered from the factory with a column shift. Go figure... The car is pictured in my profile as I looked when I purchased it in High School. The thing I remembered is that when someone would open the door they could see the purple jambs and ask if it was purple. I hated that and said it would never be that color again. Never say never... It will once again be Crazy. I will post more pictures as it look now. Not pretty, but in really good shape still.

    OK, here I go, The front is off and work has begun!!!

    FC7, despite how common it seems to be now, is still my favorite color.  I will put a coat of Plum Crazy paint on my 71 challenger when it's ready.  Mine was orginally metallic gold so count yourself lucky.   Bring on the pics.

    I saw a ton of purple cars painted over in another color back in the 80's including an R/T-S.E. 440 4-speed (FE5 over the FC7). You're in good company on this website.   :woo:  The one in my sig. pic is a real FC7 Super Track Pack car.

    Ok, I got the picks this morning. As you can see, not in too bad of shape. Typical rear qtr rust. The engine I have in currently is a 383, the 440 is under the work bench boiled and ready to be bored  30 over. The 73 340 Ralley 4 spd in the picture is the garage sale find in 2008, but that's another story.

     And, yep, your in good company here when it comes to FC7
    Mine is an original JS23U0B, FC7 also.
    I cannot wait to get rid of that dang color once I get mine back in one piece and I finally get to the paint process  :rofl:
     I say that, but every time I see a Plum Crazy Mopar my mind tends to want to keep it Plum Crazy though  :clueless:

    Notice in the pictures, the column shifter is still in place. The console shift I added by having the whole mount hump from another challenger bolted in place and only cutting a hole in mine large enough to allow the linkage to pass through.

     :2cents: What are your thoughts on removing the console and returning it to origional?

    I think it would be cool and unique to have a column shift and take out the console. Most of our cars came with a console so this would be another chance to stand out. Can't wait to see the process. Im also curious about your "garage sale" find. why cant I find a garage sale like that......  :hyper:

    It's your car so you must have liked it when you put it in.  I like consoles and floor shifts. Change your column out and save it for the guy that you will sell it to (never say never).
