Hey Alan, I hope your wife is better.  I had a stone a few years ago, and it is the most miserable pain I've ever felt.  That and a root canal gone bad are the only 2 things that have made me cry from pain.  Passing the stone wasn't half as bad as that jagged little rock cutting its path through the kidney.  Hopefully, the worst of it is in the past.  Good luck and be well.

Sorry to hear about your wife Alan....but in a way, it's a good thing it's her and not you....here's why....Medically, men aren't supposed to have stones and if they do (frequently like women) then that's usually a sign that something is not right and it's best to be seen by a specialist (urologist).  Once or twice in a 10 year period is ok for men, but more than that, there's issues.  :2thumbs:

Well, now I hope she will be ok. I had to fly down to Louisiana today.  She is feeling better so she says, but it isn't quite over yet. She is going to a urologist the 21st

I hated leaving her :pullinghair:

I thought I had already posted to this thread but it looks like it didn't go through.  I am so sorry Peggy had to deal with this.  I had kidney stones last year and I have never ever felt pain like that.  I was attacked by a large dog and it didn't even come close to the pain of kidney stones passing.  I was very very sore in the kidney area for at least a week afterwards as well.  I know it sounds gross, but they say to save the stones so the urologist can test them to see what type of stones they are, as different foods eaten can contribute to the formation of different types of stones.  It's best to know what foods you should avoid, as once you get stones you are more prone to getting them in the future.  I will keep Peggy in my prayers in hopes that they do not come back ever again.
