street dominator ....

I got one off moparts, low deck version for 100 bucks shipped. Hard to beat that and to top it off its already painted orange. I have heard so many good things about them that I just had to try one. It should be a step up from the old aluminum weiand dual plane that was on my engine when I bought it.

i want a street dominator, but these ones are on right now and they are cheap.

BB71, what weiand did/do you have? is it the 8008? that is the one on ebay now.

Chryco, there are two torkers on the bay right now, there is only one modle of this right?

I don't care for the Wieands. They always have core shift. The Torker on a 383 will work as good as anything else. Spend youir money where it will actually help.  :2cents:

as in the torker?

As in something other than an Intake that won't work any better than the Torker will bolted on stock heads. You can get the Torker for dirt and it'll work as good as any of the others, give or take a hundreth or 2 in the 1/4. Spend the money you save on something that will really matter. A better exhaust, a better cam, move the battery to the trunk, lighter rims, better rear tires, some head porting. Take your pick of a thousand things.  :2cents:

not so much looking to change the rims, i like them, or moving the batt to the trunk. i put a better cam in and dont know what else to do to the exhaust except maybe headers again (which im not a fan of) or a bigger system. really, i want to start with the intake because that is where my most annoying problem is. i have an exhaust leak on the choke stove and can not get it to seal. are the stock heads really that bad that putting an intake on will not help the engine at all?

BTW, would love to get a set of heads some day, or have mine worked to be really nice, but that is someday in the future when funds are a little more free.

Do stock BB heads flow bad? You decide. Remember a bone stock 5.7 liter truck Hemi head flows 270 on the Intake and 300 with very minor cleanup.
