Door panels are blue for sure, headliner I would assume to be blue, also.  Carpet should still be black maybe?  Not sure on that one.  I wish I had a pic of the interior of this one, it was a lot of blue, man!   :bigshades:

Carpet was blue too.

Yeah, I was just going to say blue on that, too.  I searched for b5 cars on google, the few interior shots of b5 cars I could find resulted in blue carpet.

Lotsa blue in that car.   :faint:

I have a 74 Barracuda with blue interior and need to paint the door panels.  Has anyone here ever painted door panels blue and what paint code/product should I use.

Thanks

Everything but the steering column and shifter are blue. It is a lot of blue. I had a 71 R/T that was coded for a white exterior with black stripes and a blue interior. ChallengerGary bought it from me and restored it. He might have some interior pics to post. I have the Ditzler PPG paint code somewhere. I'll look it up.

I have 2 codes for 73 and one for 70. In 73 it appears that a different shade of blue was used on certain parts. This may have been an intention by Chrysler and not something they actually did. According to the Chrysler manual the instrument panel,Glove box door inner and outer check arm, ash receiver face and handle, Stereo speaker grilles and rear window defogger bezel were Dark Blue Poly code 14090. The upper windsheild moulding, backlight molding, roof rail molding and forward edge "C" pilar garnish moulding were Brite Blue Poly code 14096. The column is black code 9388. These are Ditzler PPG paint codes.

I am doing a blue interior on my 73 Challenger right now. I am not looking for perfection as this is going to be a 318 driver. I am very happy with Dupli-Color T257 Medium Blue. The "T" is for Truck....the can says "Truck & SUV Colors". So far, I have done the dash frame and one plastic dash trim piece with very good results. On the last coat, I gave it a mist rather than a smooth coat and got a decent texture as well as flattening the shine.

It's a lacquer paint, so I don't know how it will stand up to wear & tear or if I can hit it with a matte clear out of a can (Krylon). I will post a Q&A in the paint section asking about enamel over lacquer.

I almost forgot. This color is VERY close to B5. Not perfect, but very close.

My interior was/is just like the picture in the above post.  Headliner is blue, window trim, a-pillars, coat hook, seat belt covers are all blue.  As you can see from my avatar, the car isn't blue anymore and the original blue interior I have in my shed would look pretty silly in my car now.
