You practice by learning to skydive, then getting used to base jumping in the normal fashion, then skydiving in the suit to get a feel for it. It's probably less scary than freefall.

"Eat your heart out, James Bond." Sure would be a rush, but ya better know what your doing huh? You know I have had dreams from time to time of gliding like that, but I'm always nude in my dreams, seriously. Maybe I ought to visit a shrink and find out what it all means?  Must admit, those guys are fun to watch............amazing.

I did some jumping off a cliff into a quarry some years ago.  Nothing like that vid though.  I think it was 50-60ft max that I did. :faint:  Young and dumb.  I would pile a bunch of guys in my Scamp and drive up, mostly to see the sunbathers. :naughty:

You can't really learn to use one of those suits indoors like that. While you can learn to "steer" in freefall you're still mostly traveling downwards (hence the falling part). The suit give you a lot more control in forward flight... and you'd bash right into a wall indoors. Those indoor tunnels are great if you're scared of heights and like the safety of not having to fall to far.
