Prices on legit stuff seem to be off by at least a third, and often half...

I may be mistaken here, but Goldburg's 65 Cornet went for under 80K, the Petty blue 70 clone superbird got 501K for charity, and Goldburg helped with that car in building ($$$$) and selling it on stage.

I think the best Mopar deal yet was the 69 matching # Hemi Roadrunner that sold for 63K, and it only had like 13,000 miles, an automatic............maybe that brought dow the price ?

I like the 70 Challenger R/T "coupe". Pretty rare bird there. One of NONE. I noticed that a lot of Johnny come lately's and multi-make collectors all call the Mopar hardtops "coupes" and make a face when corrected. These are the clowns who screwed up the market for us regular guys who are the TRUE enthusiasts.

EV2 AAR hit the nail on the head. Dow Jones, Muscle cars, oil...all these commodities were overvalued for a LONG time. A correction has been long overdue.  :2cents:

personally if i was filthy, ridiculously rich, i would have bought that goldberg superbird.
i love that car! it's looks incredible, the nose and wing work so well on it due to the low ride height, big tires and radiused arches.
and that motor! i saw a video online of someone sitting in the drivers seat revving it up a bit. i've never seen a tach spin up and down so fast...  awesome.

I hope prices stay or go lower...I always wanted a T/a challenger but wouldn't have thought it realitic to buy one with them approaching 100k.  Now with them approaching 50k, I'm back in the ball game!

Same here! I always wanted an AAR, and its getting to the point I don't have to look for clones anymore. I want a FC7 with white interior, 4spd....thats all.   :cooldancing:
