Stefan, thanks for telling your story. As a fan of anything with speed, power and style, I'm a fan of your work on your Supras.
Thanks alot, I just hope I will still be welcome when I start on my Cuda, since it will be powered by something unorthodox, but it's nothing surprising to any of my friends, cause they know what I've been working on and owned for nearly two decades and that is Supras,I pretty much know them inside out,if you show me a screw or a clip I would know where it's from,I guess you learn alot when you tear and put them together...
Keep in mind,I always loved the E-body Cuda eversince I came across some movie poster where the Cuda was in the air,I just never tried looking to buy one,but was thinking someday to own one,and finally 20+ years later I got it!
At first when I just bought my 71 I was planning to go with aluminum 528 HEMI,but my budget would not cooperate too well with that idea ,beeing that there will be many one off custom made parts from suspension to body to interior, lighting and much more, so after few months I came up with not so simple solution ,but more easier on my budget, since I have a 1200+hp 2JZ +GT47-88 set up that cost me well over $30k ,so that will be the powerplant for my bastard Cuda, it will be backed by no other than 6 speed Getrag Supra tranny.
So I appoligize to any and all purists in advance, this was the only solution I could come up with ,and I do not want to build a car with anything less than pure BAD-A$$,so non HEMI big blocks would not work for me,
I wish I had the access to all the equipment and experience building tube chassis as Bruning does, but I don't, so I will have to work with what I have and I'm sure I can accomplish what I have planned if only my budget, time and wife permits
