Changing the cars at the car lot. Pics added
« on: January 18, 2009 - 07:20:06 PM »
It's still to cold to work in the garage so I am still playing with my models. I am changing the sign from Big Dougs used cars to Big Dans used Hotrods.  I am also changing the kinds of cars that will be for sale. This will give me a break from the dio side and start building some more cars. I am going to build them as more of a prostreet/gasser type cars. I am also going to build some cool tri five chevies---some 60"s impalas--maybe a ford?---to add some variety to it.  A lot of possibilities.  I have been looking at the early 1960 to1965 dodge/plmouths -furys/coronets ect.  If anyone has some pictures of these cars as prostreet or AWB cars or a link to web sites please post them. Heres  a couple pics for now till I get new batteries tomarrow.

Here's what i was building. I sent my daughter to a dollar store for some AA batteries. I took about ten pictures and they went dead.  Oh well----here's a start. The next one will be a 64 Dodge super stock or a 55/56 chevy.  I think I need to build a photobooth to take better pictures. Till the next one is done.   Doug

Thanks all.  Cody--I have been going to my local hobby store looking for models and all of a sudden these tool kits showed up. I had been looking for a lift for the barn dio so all these extras are a bonus. It even has phones and an intercom system for the car lot.  Lots of stuff to fill in the garages. The ford is an experiment I am starting on to try a different technique on weathering I found.

That's cool. My local hobby shop has the exact same tool kit pack. I'd like to hear about the weathering technique. It look's like the same thing I'm trying out.
