according to the article on CNN Fiat owns Ferrari and Maserati, so maybe Chrysler will get some Italian influence.  :burnout:

They owned Lamborghini I think in the late 80's early 90's. I think that is how they got the V10 for the Viper.

I was thinking a little further back in the 60's and 70's but not positive.  Was just thinking of some of the cars that came out back then

If they do reach an aggreement you will be able to hear them coming by their bigger horns and waving arms.   :roflsmiley:
The latest Alfa's (owned by fiat) are only toy cars, full of gadgets like the alfa's of the '60's but don't really go any better. The handful that I have worked on recently the customers have said they seem to have back at the dealers all the time, transmissions and other problems.    :money:

The V-10 in the viper is 2 extra cylinders on a small block. Has nothing to do with another auto maker.

We're both right

"The original V10 was reportedly built with the involvement of Lambourghini, which was partly owned by Chrysler at the time; the basic engineering was of course Chrysler’s, since it was based on the venerable 360, but Lambourghini worked on the cooling system, crankshaft balance, weight reduction, and fine tuning; the Italian automaker’s expertise in aluminum was also tapped, since the Viper had an aluminum block to save roughly 150 pounds of weight."

I think they bought them in 87 and sold them in 89.
