i think i have solved the problem i found a 72 challenger in the junk yard that has disc brakes .... so if the guy will come off of ti i am gonna buy them... and i checked at advance i can get new caliper pads and bracket for 52 bucks

i got the spindles,dust shild,rotors,calipers,bracket for caliper off an 72 chally ... do i need to get the upper and lower contorl arms to have disc brakes on my 72 chally ??or is that all i need .... thanks for list katfish

you don't need to get the control arms, they are the same.

I think that I missed most of this story, but you guys might be able to help me too. I have a 71 challenger with the original disc brakes. I was thinking of converting it to the later setup, but really like the idea that these are original to the car. Anybody know where you can get the rotors for a fair price without spending a billion bucks. Thought that advance has them for 80 something, and autozone for 77. Anyone know of a better price?

Anybody ever use those Dr. diff adapters? Do you know if they fit the early  e-body spindles?

That's 1 of the advantages of the later disc rotors, much cheaper because they were used on everything till the 80's.  I've seen the 11.75 rotors as low as $30.  I don't know how much the adapters cost, but I'd bet it wouldn't be worth it, if cost is the factor.  I'm guessing they have to be $25-$50.  If you don't put many miles on your car just get the $75 rotors and your good to go for another 10yrs.

You have to change to caliper adapters  to the 11.75" also.

Here's the bearing adapter. 

The 11.75 caliper adapters are getting hard to find.  I bought mine on ebay for $80.  They reproduce the 10.87 adapters.  Wonder why no one has reproduced the 11.75 parts.

one more question for i put new ball joints in my car(72 chally) which currently has drum brakes.... since i dont need the Upper and lower control arms off the the 72 disc brake donor car... is it safe to say i can use ball joints already insalled on my car and jus bolt the spindle to it??

For the lowers, if there tight, I say go ahead.  For the uppers, you might damage the joint/seal, depending on how you seperate them from the old spindles.  Pickle fork is pretty brutal.

But, you need to do an alignment anyway, so why not do them all.
