i havent put my car ont he road yet so the ball joints have no wear hopefully they come loose with screwing up the rubber seal

you can get a tool to pry them apart insted of using a pickle fork or just hit the spindle with a hammer hard & it will pop apart

The other argument is that the tall spindles negatively impact suspension geometry. They change, it, whether it is negative or not depends on your perspective. The tall spindles raise the front roll center a couple of inches. This couple of inches means it reduces the lever arm effect on your car while turning, which can be a good thing.

Wouldn't it lower the roll center?  ( Taller spindles= ball joint up higher)

It would seem so at first glance and if you just extend the upper and lower control arms to their instant centers then yes, this point is lower. However, to find the roll center you also need to project the control arm instant centers through the tire contact center line. It is in this axis where the roll center is located and goes up as spindle height goes up. This is also where wheel backspace can impact geometry as well since the tire center line moves more with backspacing than the spindle height effects things.

If you have lowered your car by turning the torsion bars down, this relocation is a good thing as it will reduce the need for stiffer t or s-bars to achieve the same roll resistance.

Another thing I forgot is the late BFJM spindle also has more axis inclination than an A spindle, so the steering return to center action is better as well.

umm i jus got the spindles of a 72 chlly ... i have drum brakes will i need a diff master cylinder and prop valve????

You need to use the 10.87 discs with the 72 spindles unless you use the bearing spacer from Dr diff.  70-72 E-body uses a different rotor(inner bearing) than the A and 73-4 Ebody stuff.

I did this exact swap when I went to discs, I just ordered a disc master(manual) and left the stock dist block but added an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes.

I used the Autozone rotors, calipers and pads.  If you buy the loaded calipers they come with the bolts too.
