Newbie from Kansas
« on: January 21, 2009 - 11:18:36 PM »
Hello everyone, my name is Sam. Im a 17 year old kid from Kansas. I may be new to this site, but I have always been in love with E body mopars! I bought my first 1973 Cuda' in April last year, since then it has been going through a frame off restoration. However, my budget is tight and progress has been slow, but everyday I try to make some progress, no matter how small it may be. I hope to have the Cuda' up and running under its own power by the end of this summer. Hopefully you E body gods will be able to help me out in my times of need.

Mopar or no car,
Sam

Welcome to the site, Sam!  Here's your first history lesson...E-bodies are built with a uni-body structure, meaning there are no sub-frames or removable sections of the frame (unless you consider the K-frame). :2thumbs:   So technically, you'll be doing a 'frame-attached' restoration. :2thumbs:  Technicalities aside, it sounds like you have a very nice start and should be a cool car once you're finished with it.  Have you decided on a master plan of how you want the car to turn out?  (Paint, interior color, engine choice, etc.)  Welcome to the site and enjoy your stay. :2thumbs:

BTW: You purchased your '73 'Cuda at the same age I purchased my '73 Challenger.  Hopefully you can complete it all before you begin college.  Mine's been sitting ever since I finished high school, but I'm hoping to have it completed, or at least running & ~90% complete, by the time I'm 25 (23 now).  Good luck with the build.
