Newb Intro
« on: January 22, 2009 - 05:35:52 PM »
Hello everybody!

My name is Kenny Sykes and I am the youngest of three sons of Bob Sykes who was the head engine builder at Keith Black Racing Engines. My Dad worked with Pete Hutchison of Chrysler Corporation on the development and testing of the #77 Trans-Am Challenger and the Plymouth Indy project. We own three 1970 Cudas in our family, one being my Dad's numbers matching 4-speed Hemi Cuda.

It is really great to read the great stories about these wonderful Mopars!

Though my knowlege of my father's work on the project is limited, I am willing to answer any questions I can. It is unfortunate to tell you that my father who is still alive but who suffers from Alzheimer's has no recollection of his past racing days.

All my best to all.

Welcome aboard to the best enthusiast site on the Internet.  I'm sure you'll like it here.  I'm sorry to hear about your father; that must be very difficult for your family to deal with.  Hopefully, you know some of his stories and can pass them along to us.

Three Cudas in the family and no pics?  Please!!  :useless:

Hi Greg,

I'll try to send some photos over soon for you! My 340 is a major project with a lot of work to do. The Hemi Cuda was just finished.
