Luggage Racks
« on: January 22, 2009 - 10:15:34 PM »
Some questions about luggage racks.   Are they the same from '70 to '74 for ebodies?   Aren't there differences between ebody and bbody ones?   Aren't the "feet" difference between E and B bodies?   Does anyone have any pics that would show?   Also, are they dimensionally different?

thanks

So, it looks like the actual size of the e-bodies and the satellites, chargers, and coronets is the same size.
Different part numbers though.
So they must have different feet since the sizes are the same.

Thanks Barry.   That helps.    I also noticed some visual differences between the B and E body.    From the pic of the Charger rack on the 70 Accessories page I note there are 6 inner pieces to the rack, whereas on my '74 Challenger there are 7.   Also, mine has two extra supports towards the rear that I don't see on the charger version.   I can't tell from the photos the differences in the feet, however.

Does anyone else have any pics or can shed more light on this......   I have another (supposedly) ebody luggage rack I picked up, but the feet are different than the one on my '74 (which I think was dealer installed).

So, I have never seen the ski rack.
Also, I havn't ever seen the hold down covers and straps.
Are these ever seen or does anyone out there still have any of these set ups??

Are the part numbers on the luggage racks themselves? I would like to know what year mine is.

I think that PG classics repops these.  I'm at work. the catalog is at home. Anyone have one handy?
The website doesn't seem to work from here.

Are those for e bodies - or b bodies?   Chrome vs. Stainless -- didn't know there was an option (I assume this is just the repop market?)
