Sam's Project Cuda'
« on: January 22, 2009 - 11:12:13 PM »
Hmm where to begin... The beginning I guess

Well, I bought 73 Cuda' in April last year, it originally had a 340, but will be recieving a 440/727 from a 1969 Road runner. Im not sure if the 440 is an HP block or not (if someone could tell me that would be awsome!). Anyway, when i first got the car it was in horrible shape. Nearly every panel on the car along with 3 of the 4 frame rails had been eaten away by rust. Since then the car has been completely disassembled and sand blasted.

My future plans:
Since the car has no fender tag or build sheet, I decided to make this into my dream car... A black on black, high performance, streetable race car. Although im only 17 and my income isnt ideal (whos is right?), so this project could take me a while. Hopefully I can have it on the street by the end of this summer (hopefully!).

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Mopar or no car,
Sam

Oh yeah pictures :)

Sorry, im still trying to figure out how to resize so i can post them straight to the site :(

I gave 1,500 for it. I know it looks like i got ripped off, but I have taken ALOT off the car. Still, some peices (doors, fenders, grille, hood, trunk lid, glass...) are in pretty good shape.

Looks like you are going to have to replace most everything.  I am going to do the same to mine.  Darn rust!!!!!!

That's a lot of empty space where should be some metal! Have faith!

Also I suggest that you will increase your timetable somewhat so there won't be any dissappointments. It will be ready some day but probably not this upcoming summer

Wow, I guess I can officially retract my prior statement in the Newbie Section. :eek7: :lol2:  That's great you're going to resurrect this car, though.  It'll definitely take some time to do it right and get it back together, but the rewards you'll get are well worth the wait. :2thumbs:
