This is not a Challenger but a Charger ( I think? )  I believe it hit a tree going 125 mph.  Looks like it's in 2 pieces and don't know anything about the driver.  Drive safe people!!

I've been to wrecks worse than that and the pwople walked away. I have also been to accidents with minimal damage and a fatality occurred. It depends what the big guy has in store for us, have a feeling that this drivers days are over    RIP :angelwings:

Man that Charger is a mess! Back in 1992 or so some teenagers took their parents maxima for a joy ride. They were going well over 100mph when they hit a depression in the street and got launched about 8'. There was a huge messed up place 8' up on a telephone pole where the car struck. The car was cut in half and 3 out of 4 guys died. I actually drove by the scene while there was still a body to be picked up. Horrible the amount of damage a car crash can have and someone live. The Charger scene looks worse though and I doubt even a passenger could have survived that. The only way the driver is getting out of that crash alive is probably if he was ejected.

Check out the one I just bought, just going to put it away right now until the parts are available.  Didn't pay much for it ($4000 US range) but it is hit hard.  Fixable though but might be better to use it to fix two other cars hit in the quarters then part out the drivetrain.  Hurts to part out a numbered first year challenger though.

I agree it looks bad but fast forward about 20 years and it will be a project car for sure. Still sad to see a car looking like that so soon after it was released.

Naw, It won't take that long, it will be fixed within a year or so OR will donate its quarters and doors to one or two other cars and then donate its engine to another project.  I've done a few insurance cars now and its amazing how well the unibody cars come back if you have all the specs and know what you are doing.  My buddy did a 300C hit almost this bad and you cannot tell its been hit unless the car is on a hoist and you know what you are looking at.  It will never be worth the 30 + that these cars bring un-hit but will still be a fun car and unless you know where to look 99% of people can't tell they've been hit at all, just have to be fixed right. You're right though, it is a sad sight.

That's really a sickening photo because the odds of any occupants to have survived the crash is very minimal... :puke:
