Rear Bumper Stop Bracket Color
« on: January 24, 2009 - 08:42:49 AM »
Does anyone know why the metal bracket for the rear end bumper stops were painted yellow?  I am trying to reproduce it on my parts.  Who sells this yellow paint and is it supposed to be just on the end or the entire piece?  Mine looks like just one end was painted.  Picture below.  Thanks.

Possibly a supplier code or more likely, an idiot-proofing device for line workers. "The yllow ones on E-bodies, the red ones on B-bodies, etc.

Could also be an inspectors "dab".

Barry probably knows.
