71 Charger S.E. 440 Sell or Trade

1971 Charger S.E. WP29N1A

She’s no trailer queen, but no hack job either. Presents well at cruise nights and small shows. Probably wouldn't get a trophy at Carlisle, Nats, etc.

Originally, an N code S.E., now has a G440/727, Holley 750 vac. Secondaries and electric choke, electronic ignition, aluminum intake, headers with duals all the way out back with turndowns (CA style). Was triple black, now white, white vinyl top, dual painted mirrors, R/T hood and Stripes, VERY nice blue cloth/vinyl bucket interior, console, power windows, hideaways, Power Steering, Power Disk Brakes, 8-3/4-3.23 open. Had A/C, does not now. She rides on 15 X 7 Cop car wheels with AMC "volcano" centers and Goodrich T/A's.

The Good:

All lights and heater controls work fine. Gauges ALL work.
Front end has been rebuilt (ball joints, bushings, tied rods, idler arm), new shocks front & rear (Monroes), many of the small parts were bead-blasted and repainted including the horns, headlight motor, windshield squirters, inside mirror post, upper & lower control arms, etc. I never got around to doing the wiper motor or brake booster. Correct 71 Dual-snorkle air cleaner was bead-blasted and repainted with wrinkle paint, repro decal installed on lid.

Washer bottle is new and works. AM-FM mono radio works. Rear bumperettes are on with NOS rubber strips.

NEW engine parts include: Lifters, Timing set, High Vol. Oil Pump, Gaskets, reman distributor, Valve job on 452 heads, Fan Clutch...has correct 71 Valve Covers, new battery cables...

The "Not so Good":

Car has some rust in the trunk extensions and a little surface rust showing on the underside of the hood. All four Power windows work, but are VERY slow. Could use new motors or maybe just the old motors taken out and lubed. Motor for headlight doors works, but does not shut off at end of stroke properly. I think it just needs some adjustment. Works fine manually. Trunk floor has no rust, but has some ripples, possibly due to the transport of a rear end. Heater hoses disconnected, because the heater core might leak (I'm not 100% sure on this one, might just have been rainwater through the vents...?). Heater controls work fine including all vacuum doors and NOS heater valve (under hood).

Steering box has new seals, but still leaks. I give up on this one.

I'm asking $14,000 which is somewhat negotiable. WILL TRADE up/down for E-body or real 71 R/T or Super Bee, 70-72 GTX.

If interested, I can send MANY pictures or feel free to come on down and take a look. I'm in Ramseur, NC, not far from Asheboro(home of NC Zoo), Greensboro, Lexington(great BBQ!), Rockingham, Raleigh, Charlotte, etc.

Thanks
