Such a confusing word
« on: January 25, 2009 - 04:57:24 PM »
Rally, rallye, ralley.

WTF   it is spelled different everytime I see it.    Someone set it straight for me   OK?

I thought Rally, then I was told ralley dash and ralley wheels.  And I see rallye all the time

As far as Mopars are concerned, I believe it's Rallye, wheels, dash, etc. The one that bothers me is console. I hear so many guys pronounce it "council" or "counsel". It's a CON-SOLE!! or how about a Plymouth Furry, or a Chrysler Cordova :screwy:

I think it's rallye, but I know I am guilty of spelling it all three ways.

Chrysler spelled it Rallye, because chebbie had already used Ralley.

You know it is hard for the mind to spell things right on the computer.  Even when you spell it correctly it looks wrong.  Thanks for the english langauge for the spelling problems.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Al, for some reason penmanship stuck with me. I just like writing (although i'm not as good of a writer as i'd like), that's why i've kept a journal mostly on since 1971.  :)
