you can add a block between the spring & diff with longer U bolts or have the springs de- arced down

If you search for "lowering blocks" on summitracing.com they have a ton of kits available ranging from 1/2 inch to 4 inches

you should check the pinion angle at the same time , make sure the pinions 5* down from the driveshaft angle

Lowering blocks and longer ubolts are by far the easiest and fairly cheap.
if you only want an inch or two lower the no cost way is to flip the front shackles upside down. You will have to use a rat tail file to oval the stud holes, but it is a zero cost way to lower the car and no lowering blocks required.

I will have a pair of leaf springs that are acked the wrong way at the rear that I am going to replace if you are interested.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Mancini has front HD leaf springer hanger that has an extra bolt hole that suppose to lower it about an inch.

Blocks are usually the best way to go, re-arching the springs will cause too many other problems. As mentioned above keep an eye on the pinion angle, you can get wedges to correct this problem if needed.   :2thumbs:

You're bertter off with the front shackle being flipped or buying the mancini one I would be a little concerned about stability with the block added between the spring and the perch.

I took my stock 4 leaf leaf springs off and bought the 6 leaf set up. It raised my rear end of the car about 1.5"   Are you wanting a stiffer ride or just lowering the car. Cuda vs barracuda springs and bb vs sm blk are different springs. Or rather hp vs non hp
