No safety spec for these. I've broken several sets before. Since they are cast, they are very brittle.  I went with extruded aluminum since and have had no problems in street, drag, and oval track applications.

If you are only after a 1 inch drop or so, why not go the no cost option of fliping the front spring hangers, as was mentioned before?

the front spring hanger can be removed from the spring & bolted on the other way up & remountd ,lowering the car approx 1", the problem with this is the holes are closer together at the top so all 4 holes need to be moved in or ouyt slightly to mount it upside down

you may have a heck of a time getting the front spring eye bolt out though generally they are siezed in place unless some one has had them out & or antisiezed them before re-installing them , often you have to cut the bolt off spread the hanger then press out the bushings , install new bushings & replace the bolts

 :iagree:

If no one has been under there recently, you may also find the hanger bolts/studs frozen. When I replaced my rear springs I also had to buy new hangers, between the front eye bolt and the hanger bolts I could't re-use either hanger...

I tried pointing out the "no cost" part of the flipped hanger solution a while ago.  :dunno: :clueless:
