    another friend gone.........

    I still cannot believe it. The second friend in just a few months time. I just received a phonecall... my very good friend died yesterdaymorning , 49 years.  He was shopmanager at a BMW dealership near my hometown. He was at work there and wanted to pull a container with carparts into the elevator, but the damn thing wasn`t there. He fell backwards into the lift shaft and was pulling the container with him... 
    years ago we used to live in the same house when I was training and racing his wifes horses on the track, and we`ve been close friends ever since.
     I will miss you buddy... I`ll miss you a lot  :sadwavey:

    Man, real sorry to hear about your friend, dutch.  Freak accident.  It's a little easier to swallow when it's someone elderly, maybe had a lot of chronic disease, but he was not that old and assumably healthy. I feel real bad for you.   :-[

    Did he have family?  :clueless:

    freak accident for sure.  He leaves a wife and three kids behind.  There will be an investigation at the shop. I was talking to him last monday and he told me about him wanting to change some things in the shop... the elevator would be one of them  :faint:  He was not allowed to make the changes because of the money..... how bizarre would you have it.   I guess his employer will have some problems now...

     Very sorry to hear the sad news.
    Best wishes for the kids and all affected by this tragedy.

    So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend Dutch. This must be very difficult as being so sudden. That is the 2nd time I've heard of this happening. My uncle's buddy had it happen to him right here in my hometown. So very tragic!! My thoughts and prayers go out to you and his family. I hope his family is compensated for this!! :angelwings:
