The car looks sweet.  Just a couple things I noticed because I'm an original owner of a 73 Cuda.
1.  Bumperettes (rubber tips) are missing from front and rear bumpers.  (see pic)
2.  There is no chrome molding going around the trunk lid edge.  (see pic)
3.  There is no chrome molding on the door tops.  (see pic)

I'm not picking, just pointing out some minor details.  Also, it seems that there is no inside hood release, because the guy opened the hood from the outside.
Its done up very, very nice.  Hope you get it!

In 73 are # 2 and 3 standard on cuda models?  I know Moparal mentioned these same things with my car when I was there a month or so.  As far as #1 is concerned I to am taking my bumper stops off and switching to the 70-72 style of bumper brackets, bumper guards, and inserts.

Went to see the car again...it's not a complete resto but almost, the bottom and front suspension weren't done just undercoated, some rust starting to show along the rear window bottom edge, originally was a steering column gear shift lever and converted to center console, interior is near perfect, paint is a 6.5 with some sloppy taping.  He went down $1K so $31K out the door...gotta think about it a little.

The pictures look great, but if there is rust starting to show and you feel the paint is only a 6.5, then that might be a bit pricey.  You can figure on putting another $10K or so into it if it needs a new paint job.  Still, $40K total for a done Cuda is not all that bad, but still a lot of  :money: .

Apparently car prices have come out of their slump over the weekend while I was away at the store.

For $29K the car better be matching numbers, everything rebuilt, near perfect paint, the engine the right color (blue), the air should blow cold, that better be a new dash pad, not a cap, the blower motor should be cad plated, not black, and shouldn't the wipers be 3-speed, not two? (especially with the six-pack)

If it were a 4-speed car or a 70-71, maybe.

4 cents from me this time.

:iagree:  I have to agree with quapman.

If the car is not completely rebuilt and in "tip top" shape, it's not worth what they are asking for it.

I also agree, I mean it's really $31K...the car's been for sale for a year now, I'm sure it's not going anywhere anytime soon, so I want to check out that 71 Challenger that was just posted on the For Sale section...looks damn good...same price, no matching #s but a 440...

I dont think that car is a 31k car.  There are better cars out there for 31k.   Maybe 20-24k???   :2cents:

Nice car, but like has been said, that's a little steep for a 73 with rust issues.

:iagree: too bad you werent around 6 months ago, my uncle (in Whitemarsh) sold a survivor 72 for $13500. that means, keep looking, they are out there.

Did you see this on Marylandmopars.net ?? it would be worth a ride over.  :burnout:

Hey, got a hot tip on the sale of (2) 66-67 Charges. But in addition, this place is selling several Mopars. It seems the owner of R. F. Body works passed away and his wife and sons are now running the shop. It also appears this guy collected a lot of cars years ago and stuck them in storage. Mind you, he bought the cars & stuck them in storage the way he found them.  Anyway, this is a current list of cars for sale with a possibility of more cars in the future. Some of the cars are restored (?) and some are not. I did not get the chance to see all of the cars.

66 Charger  ( white- needs interior and need some body work( $6500.00)
67 Charger (Green - needs 2 bumper and a interior  ($6500.00)
73 Charger (yellow- 360 CID ) $4000.00
71 GTX   (Root Beer Brown)  440 CID    $25,000.00
71 Super Bee  (Gold- 383)  $20,000
73 Cuda   ( 71 Motor - 340)  $20,000.
73 Challenger   (318)   $20,000

Right!!
This yellow car is not a real 'CUDA.  There were lots of '73 Barracudas with 340s in them. Notice they make a big deal about the H engine code in the VIN but no mention of wether it starts with BH or BS.

Probably a H code barracuda with the A51 decor package. A51 was cheaper if you got the 340.

A neat car for sure but you didn't get the sway bars, 'CUDA chrome trim as mentioned above or the dual exhaust rear valance when new.  All that was standard on 'CUDAs. (except the valance in CA)

Makes my car look like an awesome deal. Especially with the rust and missing parts on their car....

One more thing

If the VIN does start with BS then I would check to see if it's a rebody.  Filled in holes where the 'CUDA trim should be, body numbers on the cowl and radiator support match, telltale weld marks if the car has been back halved.  The more I think about it that car needs a comeplete inspection.

The bent valance and cheap dash cap don't impress me either

Oh yeah, I thought about that too specially because of the column shifter swap but it is a BS and H code, I checked.  Now check this out...they want $31K right?...Check this out...for $35K
