Although I was pulling for the Cardinals, I was happy to see a Buckeye score the winning touchdown.

Congrats Steelers.

What a great game!! We watched the game at the Casino with about 500 other screaming Cardinal Fans. It was almost like being at a real game. Lots of fun. Too bad they lost, but at least it was exciting all the way to the end. :2thumbs:

A terrific ending...I really thought the Steelers shot themselves when they settled for 2 field goals inside the 5.

That offensive line is so pathetic at times. They just can't run for a yard when they need to.   :pullinghair:

:iagree:  Well at least Holmes went to Ohio State, whereas Ben is from Findly, and Harrison is from Akron and Nate Washington is an Ohio boy too. I was born in Kentucky, but Ohio has been my home state 98% of my life. So I have to have that Buckeye pride I guess. And as MEK said, the O line is the weakest point of the team, second weakest is the running game, in part because of the line, but also because Bettis has never been replaced with a "bull" of a back. When your down there within the five yard line speed is not the element needed, ya need a bull rusher.  I really think if they can draft someone like Gartrell Johnson and a couple O linemen in free agency the team will be greatly improved. Steelers had 0 fumbles, and Ben only had one interception, and I can't fault him for that one, it was just an excellent defensive play that tipped it up for grabs.

Great game even though the Steeler defensive secondary started looking like they did a couple years ago, they got caught with their "pants down" a couple times in the second half. And if we don't get the holding penality in the endzone my 30-21 prediction is near spot on, just needed a field goal by Reed.  :2thumbs:

First three quarters:  :faint:

4th quarter:  :wow:  :woohoo: :clapping:

That last "fumble" was a forward pass.  :stirpot:

Arizona lost the game because of two amazing plays. About their whole team had a shot at tackling Harrison on his 100 yard Int return and they didn't and Holmes caught the winning TD with 3 guys on him.  They obviously knew where the ball was going and just couldn't stop it. All they had to do was stop the other team from driving 78 yards and scoring a TD with 2 1/2 minutes left, and they couldn't. The Cards were very classy though after the game and gave credit where it was due. They got some respect by coming back in a game that they were a play away from getting totally blown out in and Pitt got the trophy.

The last "fumble" was a fumble.   :grinyes:

He lost it when his arm went backwards. Nothing but air when he was moving the arm forwards. Why didn't they review that for 10 minutes like every other close play?   :pullinghair:

if you watch the harrison 100 yd thing, there was a missed holding call way back when warner tried getting him. watching the replay, the guy that took warner out had a handfull of jersey. but it is done and overwith now.

So Warner would have made the saving tackle? I agreed with John Madden on that play. He's a guy with no particular allegiance to the Steelers who beat the Raiders team he used to coach several times denying them a Superbowl trip. He said "You just have to give a guy that makes an amazing play and run like that the TD". They were holding Harrison and/or Woodly on every play that they rushed the passer, but how many penalties can they call? 3 times they flagged Gandy for holding Harrison. He used to hold a lot when he played for Pitt too.  :grinyes:

Cause the fix was in.  Steelers + Ref's = Super Bowl win.

Horrible game.  Blown calls galore; all in the Steelers favor.  Minus out all the blown calls and none calls and the Steeler's get crushed.

And I'm not a fan of either team.

That was the NFL defensive player of the year James Harrison. He has the reputation of being a clean player or he never would have got the award. What you missed was what the guy did to him before that.

Well we both missed that then.  But we both caught what Harrison did... Proof to the point of non-calls.

The powers-to-be took what would have been an amazing run by an improbable team and handed the Super Bowl over to a larger-media team.

Arizona fans must be pulling their hair out.
