You can also take I-83 to 581, 581 up to 81 and 81 in.  Regardless, you'll hit bottleneck in the mornings where 81, and 11 meet up.

The traffic lights on 11 aren't bad at 7 or 8 in the morning.  I've done it now for two years.  The only problem is the above-mentioned bottleneck.  But if you leave early enough (like MEK does,) you won't have any problems, and 11 is kinduva fun cruise - LOTS of rubber necking from local residents.

On the way home in the afternoon, the 81-581 trip is great - virtually dead.  Most traffic is heading the other way out of Harrisburg.

By the way, this isn't looking very good.

I can't book a reservation for 6 people.  We need to get some feedback here.

I hope no one minds - I'm going to post the link to this at the "Who's Going" thread.  If the club doesn't want to do dinner together I'm okay with that - I mean, the 6 of us can just agree on a place and go there after the show, get some tables pushed together or a big booth and drink 'till the sunburn doesn't hurt anymore.

I don't mean to rain on your cornflakes, hijack or attempt to change your plan, but we usually eat at the Middlesex Diner on 11, near I-81. It's close to most of the motels on "the strip" and we've never had a bad meal there. Not sure if they serve alcohol. Beer & wine maybe?

I do understand that your spot is close to where y'all stay, so it certainly makes sense.

Isn't it a little early to be making decisions?  I imagine some people haven't even decided if they are going to Carlisle or not.

I just want to make sure I book the place before any other club does, that's all.

If you guys want to do something different or if someone else wants to handle it just tell me.

As I recall, the price for the all-you-can-eat buffet was quite reasonable(something like $9.95). Listening to Viperman after he drank  Long Island ice-tea's was priceless.   :2thumbs:

I think what Barry was trying to ask was what are the hard times assoicated with dinner to avoid confusion.

Here is an exsample:

Meet at Hotel at 8:30pm

Leave For Resturaunt at 8:45pm

Convoy to Resturaunt 20-30min

Arrive at Resturaunt at 9:15pm

Now this is just an exsample, I dont care what time we eat or whatever just give me a time the day of and dont him and haw, I hate indiciveness.   :2thumbs:
