Bell Housing Paint

What is the correct color paint for the bell housing for a 1970 Barracuda with a small block 318 engine?  Should the bell housing be painted with matching engine color?  Is it recommended to use a primer prior to the color??

bell housings were aluminum & were oversprayed with engine paint as they were on th eengine when painted , depeends on the type of paint used if it needs a primer
