The official Cuda-Challenger.com Hotel reservations for 2009.
« on: February 05, 2009 - 03:03:29 PM »
I made the reservations today at our usual spot, the Quality Inn. Check-in date is July 9th. Check-out the morning of the 12th. If you stay for a shorter period of time, that is fine. I have reserved 9 rooms with a single king-sized bed, and 9 rooms with 2 queen-sized beds. The group rate is the same as last year, $109 for each room per night. When you call, the rooms are reserved under my name since there was some confusion last year. After you have reserved a room using your credit card, send me a PM and tell me how many of each rooms you reserved so I can keep a running tab here for all to see. The latest date to make a reservation is July 6th. After that, you are on your own. Let me know if you experience any problems.

Hotel address: 175 Beacon Road
Hotel phone number: (717) 774-6200
Person of contact if there is a problem at the Hotel: Christine

I requested a micro-fridge too to keep my hamburgers cold.  ;)

Part of me almost kinda hopes I'll still be living there by July, but I'm kinda not expecting it...

This will be our first trip to Carlisle. Even though we don't own a Cuda or Challenger, would we still be able to reserve a room with y'all? We're already starting to put money aside for the trip.

Later,

Bri

Tom,

You can take a room later if you want. I suspect there will be a few more rooms taken before July, but we should have extras.

I just yesterday afternoon got my requested time off granted to go to the Show.  I will be making room reservations by the end of the week.

Jason,  Just keep that car and find the car body of your dreams to start another build.  You will enjoy the challenger and be building the other.  (Take it from experience.)  A rust free body from out west for 2k or so is a good start. If you consider a new project, it will only take a couple of years to build max the way you dedicate yourself into your specific builds.  I got a 69 model 440 already done block (499) that made 870 hp just setting on a shelf in Louisiana I could donate to you. I took the block apart when I bought my aftermarket block from indy.  The block was fresh when I decided to go aftermarket.

1st of all, its guys like you and Jason, Alan (and others) that make this site such a great place to spend free time.  That was a very nice offer you made Jason!

2nd I have to totaly agree with you Alan, knowing Jason and his attention to detail it will not be long that he will have trore into his new A body and thus starting the process over again.  Might as well just get a project car.  Me and Chryco have discussed this about other members wanting to get somethig diferent.  They just need project cars!  What ever you do Jason good luck'  In my own opinion I would keep the Challenger, you will be saying I wish I didint or still had ect. when your sidelined.  Not speaking from too much experience on this but I think Im on the correct azmuith.

Aw man...  What's a guy with a grossly underpowered '73 'Cuda sittin' around who just doesn't have the time to work on it gotta do to get a 440 donated to him?!  I tell ya what - I'll donate my 440 block and parts to Jason - since he knows what the heck to do with 'em - and you can send that motor on my way, Al!
