No that's not it... the same thing happened last year. Some paid the "regular" rate, some got a good one and others stole the rooms.

I do wish because we are a returning group and we DO talk to each other they would cut the crap and give us ALL the best rate they could.

Well, seeing as you are the one steering business their way, you should call and say you also want the lower rate.

Of course, they could turn around and raise the rate for the rest of us I suppose.... :money:

I know I'll be saying something if I get time off of work and can make it there!   :nono:  Anyone else get a rate like that??   :dunno:

I just plan on doing the same.... looks like we needed the "What you paying for your room" thread

All the hotels in Carlisle play games with the rates each year.  In 2008 A group of us stayed at the Ramada in Mechancisburg for $74 a night.  Tried to book a few weeks after the show when bookings became available but the rate was $149. Kept an eye on the rates for a few months.  Stayed at $149.  Then in January the rates finally went down to $84 but we already booked elsewhere at $100 a night. :stomp:

I am hoping they have a 2 bed room left on monday or tuesday for when I get back into the USA  I cant call from here right now, but will be home tomorrow. I have a points card for their motel and am hoping I can use it. It is 12,000 points a night tho.   The regular online rate I see is for king rooms they only have 3 left and handicapped. But they are not the reserved rooms that Mike has for us. shows 89 bucks a night.  It is 1600 miles round trip for me. So if the weather is good, I will bring my company truck and trailer my car.

I will try to bring MEK's parts he wants, kenny's and wally's and other members can remind me what I need to bring if they are coming. I got Barry some tags

I just reserved a dbl for 64 bucks a night for 3 nights.  Mike, Christine wasn't available and the lady said she could only find 1 reservation under your name and she didn't want to take a chance of messing anything up and possible canceling someones room, so I got one, but under my name. Thurs , fri and sat night. I figure on being there a round 8pm or a little earlier.

Al,

They were only holding our rooms until July 6th. After that, the unused rooms would be available to anyone. Maybe that explains it.   :dunno:

I'm glad you were able to get one. It will be great meeting you.
