    The dont make a extreme top for a 16" air cleaner assembly but they are mating the 2 together aftermarket for $299 ...... yea ok!

    here is what mine will look like real soon...... will be painted body color also :clapping:

    A stupid question, but the standard 14" filter assembly won't fit on your set-up?   :dunno:

    not enough air for my dominator mek / drop base setup etc for hood clearance also.......  :working:

    I heard those top ones can cause flow problems with the air, is that true? I would think it wouldn't make a negative difference.

    never heard that before....... it may have not worked on someones combo at one time or another..... I need all the air i can get.... some articles claim 15hp pickup  :smilielol: I will mess around with it come track time to see if its a worthwhile gain or not.....  :working:

    I had heard it was something to do with the way the air spins when it comes in the filter and that the top filter affected the air spin, making it not take in as much air. I don't think that sounds like it would be true, but I have never seen anyone run that before and that was the only thing I had heard about it. Let us know if you have gains, seems like a fairly cheap way to more HP.

    they hold together easy.... the xtreme top fits right into the now chrome bezel top and just wing nuts down..  :working:
