Oh yeah, maybe I should quit my day job?   :grinno: :bricks1: :misbehaving:

They can make red halos for taillights, also.

Steve, where did you get your relay box?

It was out of an '89 Dakota I'm pretty sure.  There are probably more years than that, I saw a few Dakotas there with the same box.   Nice and square, fairly small.  I just ripped all of the fuses and stuff out of it, and dremeled a spot out for the fan thermostat switch.

This site is an excellent source for info on quality and legal lighting upgrades.  Not really popular with the HID modders and those looking for looks over performance and legality.  I don't recall anything about halos there.

He was also a Mopar guy years ago on the MML (and may still be)  http://www.danielsternlighting.com/

harley davidson headlightswork as a replacement for headlights / you can find them at motorcycle swap meets on the cheap and you can install any style bulb your heart desires.  my 2004 softtail light fit in the bulb location on my cuda.

I dont really want anything fancy like the halos but I would love the upgraded light of the H4 bulbs. I guess you would just double the "recipe" of Goodys for a Challenger right? Makes great sense to run all this through a dedicated circuit to avoid the stock wiring as much as possible.

I ran 60/55 watt H4 low beams and H1 55W high beams in the Challenger for several years with nearly stock wiring (only the main feed wire to the ammeter was replaced, bypassing the bulkhead connector; I hadn't done the relay job at the time).  It worked fine with low beams, but trying to use high would start cycling the headlight switch circuit breaker.  I don't doubt I got less light out of it than I would have with relays but it was still a vast improvement over the old tungsten incandescent.
