....and you think you need a new roof.  This was a microburst about 6 years ago.  I actually drove it into my new garage about 3 months ago.  One day.

About 7 years ago, I parked the car, put it on jack stands to get new tires.  Along came a microburst (small tornando) which then dropped a 20"+ diameter major limb off a huge tree.  Well, it landed on my car - a horrible noise, you see the end result.  The balance of the storm did about $50k worth of damage to my then new house.  No one was hurt, but we all have a new respect for the weather.  Put a tarp over it and it sat in the same spot on the jack stands till about 3 months ago when I cleaned it up, got it to start, put some tire on and drove it to my garage.  Had to tweak the roof a bit to be able to sit in - see picture of my helper.

The car is now in my new garage and I have a parts car body with good roof and frame.  One day when time permits, it will become an intense project.  This is my first car having owned it since 1979; I think I paid $450 for it.

Yes the did.  They offered me $5500 to total the car and take it, or $5000 and I kept.  I chose the latter.  Again, this was about 7+ years ago.
