dont mind the finger prints...   :misbehaving:

took all of 15 minutes to get the doors and decklid on, and using my dowel gimmick , all alignment was already done...

I admire your ability to make a car in that shape into a really really cool driver in such a short period of time.  I wonder what would happen if you took your time and do a top notch restoration...  :bigshades:   you`re a hacker with great skills John   :ylsuper:

sure shawn, ill try my best to explain it.
after final fitment of all removeable panels is satisfactory , i take a small drill bit, i.e. 1/32 - 1/16
and drill 2 pilot holes through the mounting surfaces in a non descript area. take the bit, and another just like it,( or as many as you have) wrap some ample tape around the drill end and save them in a safe location.
this enables you to remove said panels and upon reassembly, all you have to do is take the  bits , fit them in the holes, and all panel alignment is thus finished.
its a heckuva lot easier to do, then explain. and no, you cant see the holes unless your looking for them.
and this came directly, and personally from peter klutt, you may have heard of him.
if its good enough for him, im all over it.

now back to our regularly scheduled horror show...
