Heater-A/C Box help????
« on: February 07, 2009 - 11:15:18 PM »
Okay, I am trying to get my new heater A/C box installed in the my '72 Challenger and I have to still be missing something! :banghead:  Here is a pic of my restored heater box...

What goes on the big opening on the left to hook to the two dash vent ducts?  The Dash vent duct that goes to the center and passenger side vents is already connected and has a big square opening pretty close to where the opening on the box will be once it is installed.  The drivers side vent duct is here...

I guess there is a piece that goes over the hole on the box and has two openings for both of the ducts to connect.

Can anyone send me a pic of an installed heater box or better yet the part I need? :dunno:

Thanks! :ylsuper:

Jeff

The part in the second pic connects the drivers side a/c vent to the heater box. Runs along the bottom of the driver side dash.

I know the bottom two pics are shots of the duct that connects the drivers side vent to the heater box, but it does not reach all of the way to the heater box and there is no place where it would connect other than the opening in the first pic on the heater box.  I know something is missing I just need a picture of what to look for.

Thanks!

I'll have a pic of the part you need as soon as I get the batteries charged for my camera. Unless someone come thru with a pic first.

Thanks!

I really hope you have one because I have not found one so far.  I am wanting to install it before the box goes in.

I am doing one of those projects that just makes you pull your hair out  :pullinghair:  I have three of the ducts that feed the center and passenger side dash vents and two of the ducts that feed the drivers side dash vent but I do not have this piece that connects the two to the heater box!  Go figure!
