Spring Relocation Kit - Anyone used one successfully?

I am considering a spring relocation kit for the rear of my challenger.   Has anyone out there used one of these kits?   Could you share your thoughts .... good and bad?    Would you do it again?  Worth the money ($185).

I did it on my 70 Challenger so I could get 6" BS.  Very happy with the results, 9" rims still have 1" clearance to the lip.

One thing I was disappointed with was the good Dr didn't mention you will have to "trim" quite a bit of the rear valance bracing for clearance.
When I ask about this afterwards, the response was, "you don't have to trim the standard valance".  So if you have a dual exhaut valance expect to trim.
Not really a major issue but kinda of bugged me it wasn't mentioned originally.

Or put in a b body rear and the perches are right where you need them..  :thumbsup:

I never considered that.   I am planning to change out the rear end with a sure-grip ..... so, the search is on.

The mopar kit fits with no trimming  :bigsmile:

Is it the Offset Rear shackle Package ..... Part# P4120076 and Front Offset hanger bracket set: P4120078??   Is that all that is needed, or are there other pieces required besides the front and rear packages??

I have 2 cars with the 1" offset front mount and offset rear shackles, b-body rear ends. I fit the 10" wheels with the 295-50s on them. Dr. Diff sells the kits for $189, but the rear shakles for $50 if you want to weld the front ones up like I did. I heard the Mopar Perf. ones are extended for the super stock springs and extended out 2 inches.

If you get Dr. Diff"s 1-1/2" offset kit, the rear of the spring will hit the rear valance braces. You are safe with the 1" kit.

What is your plan for springs. The Mopar kit will require different springs. The front portion of the spring is shorter than stock.

I think Dr Diff  has 2 kits - depending on what springs you want to run.

Yes but you have to use the shorter super stock springs sounds like rob has the answer for the stock challenger springs.

Are the b body springs the same lenth as the super stockers?

E-body and b-body springs are the same length, but I put some 69 Roadrunner springs in my challenger last saturday and the rear shackles are bottomed out on my rear bumper guards.

The only reason I went with Dr Diff was because his kit could use the factory length spring.  The Mopar kit forces you to use the Super Stock springs which have more arch and will make the car sit cartoon like high. 

You will have to trim the rear valance bracing if you have dual exhaust cut-outs with the Dr Diff 1" kit.  Nothing major, but it hits.
