Antifreeze and oil comming out of exhaust ???

 I have (or thought I had) a good running 318.  When I went to try and start it, I could see antifreeze and a oil mixture comming out of my 1 foot pipes from my exhaust manifold.  No mistake about where it is comming from.
What do you guys think ?? Head gasket or intake problem ??

Sounds head gasket.

Pressure test the cooling system.  That should help you isolate the leaking coolant...

Man, I just got that engine looking damn good too.  All I did was put a different intake manifold on it, BUT that head may have been leaking before and I just never caught it. (Had full exhaust pipes on it and I couldn't see it)

you are sure it is antifreeze not just moisture , second on a small block the end studs go into water so it could be leaking from the stud into the exhaust header / manifold , it is also possible the AF is leaking into the cylinder from the head gasket but it should be exiting as steam if it was possible to detect at all  , last possibilty is a crack in the head beside the exhaust port .
 As Oldschool said borrow a pressure tester

most all cars blow carbon/water until warmed up.  You sure it's oil/coolant?

 I am 100 percent sure it is a oil and antifreeze mixture.  My exhaust is only one foot long (going dual exhaust) and I can see it clearly pouring out the pipe. (not condensation).  Antifreeze still looks clean in radiator, and engine oil is not contaminated.  I guess I am going to pull the newer intake back off (just installed it) and check that out first.  If that looks good then I will pull the head and have a Machine shop check it out closely.
I am betting it is a crack near the exhaust port.

You may just have an intake leak causing the problem

 Found the problem. The new intake manifold is leaking antifreeze into the engine and entering  into the intake/fuel and air port.  What is the deal. Bad/wrong intake gaskets.

virtually all the the intakes I have seen do not have a rear water passage , what they do have though is a water port on both ends of the cylinder head so the head can be installed on either side of the engine , the intake seals off the rear port

Chryco, Okay I feel stupid..(Your right).. However, it was my intake causing all these problems.  The intake seals all matched up. I wonder what gives ??
