I really don't see how you can get to it from the back. The speedo cable is hard enough to get at, and that's at the bottom of the gauge pod. My thoughts are there is no way out but to pull everything.

If it is a non rallye dash then maybe if you pulled your radio, you might get to it

having very small hands and long fingers, radio removed, laying on your back with the head under the dash you can try to pull them out by the wires, but then pushing them back in would be almost impossible :)

I just went through this yesterday, for anyone still looking at this thread....

72 fish, standard dash.

My radio is out and I was able to get up in there....It's tight but made it even with my fat hands...I do have my front drivers seat out which helped with the contortions.....

Could get them all out.....getting the high-beam socket back in was rough.....Its in there for now at least....

Exactly the reason why I replaced with new ones and tested all of my dash indicator lamps while assembling the dash.

Stroker - great idea.    Now, what are the bulb numbers (& brand) for everything in a 70 rallye guage set (I'm installing one right now!)   Are there any that "last" longer than others (I really don't want to go through this again!
