I would have to agree that Michigan is bad after working up there a few times.  Other states in the midwest do the same thing with all of the lake affect snow.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

MI is the worst for rust as far as I have been able to tell.   The Northeastern cars rust from the bottom up.  Florida cars rust from the top down and inside out due to the salt air & condensation.

BTW - I am loving the cars I have found in North Texas thus far - rust is a foreign object around here   :poopoke:  I am on my 3rd resurrection on N. TX cars and the combined rust on all three would not even fill up a 5 gallon bucket  :woohoo:

from what I have seen the NE & around the great lakes is by far the worst the moist environment + salt , the metal just evaopartes in those areas the west / sothwest are by far the best
