Hi all, I intro'd myself maybe a year ago when I first got my 74 Challenger, but it stayed tarped up and out of the way for this time.  I just got it into the garage and it is going to be harder than I thought.  The previous owner took it completely apart, as in every fastener, bracket, wire, subassembly, etc.  And, most is either laying loose or in unlabelled bags.  So, please share your experience with me please about what reference manuals or CD-ROMS to buy that can help me reassemble the entire car bolt by bolt in sequence.  I'd love to pay extra and get one with really good photos if that is available.  I'm having a real tough time and getting discouraged some already and as I'm not good at getting digital camera to work, it's not like I can pull out peices or take pics and ask for help (which I know folks would give).  But, I don't want to be a burden any more than absolutely required, so I want to buy whatever info out there so I can try to be independent as best I can as I try to reassemble a car that I didn't take apart and is blown into the smallest nut/washer.  He REALLY took it apart.  Even the console.  Rods taken out of the trunk hinges, everything taken out of doors, etc.  Thank you for reading and looking forward to your suggestions how I can build a reference library so as not to be a nuisance with posts.

Man that sucks parts being loose and in unlabled bags.  I feel for you, but the what the heck is it is a post that shows most people here know the e body line cars.   Just choose a specific area you want to start working on and myself as well as others will be more than glad to lend you our knowledge and skills, with pictures to help you along

Buy the complete set of factory service manuals either in book or CD form.Barry`s website(Alaskan T/A) used to have a lot of factory diagrams but no longer due to legal stuff with Chrysler but still has a lot of good info.

We'll help ya, dont worry, we can also walk you through downloading pictures. Just snap one, and plug it into your computer if you have a cable for it. and then let us know when you get there.

Wade, in addition to a new job (where I was given the extra spare job rather than hiring another person), finished all my ext remodel on my house (porch poles, fascia, soffitt, glazing windows), redecking my Dads old house, and on and on.  I have actually ran into myself coming and going!  I was real discouraged some of the things that should have been in the boxes isn't there.  At least you guys should be proud of me, I rolled my '55 Belair out of the garage to get the Dodge in there!

Get a free Photobucket account... Upload everything there at one time (select size for 17" monitor), then you can hyperlink to each picture as you need to ...this is what I do..

Welcome to the site and my 70 Cuda was taken apart even further than your Challenger when I bought it. It just takes some time and research to put it all back together again.
