Anyone have the super car collectibles  tripple black T/A in 1/18 ? I'd like to see some pictures of it?

Like all of their models, it is pretty sweet!

I had to restrain myself Saturday, I was at a new indoor car show near me, and someone in the vendor section was selling 1:18 "blems" for $39.95 each.  Looking at a couple I liked I didn't see any of the flaws.  Among the blems was the '71 orange with orange stripe Challenger R/T and one of the FC7 Mr. Norms T/A Challengers with no white vinyl top (I have the version with the vinyl top).
I had to keep reminding myself my house and garage are overflowing with car models and that despite being out of full time work all year, I have been spending a lot of money lately.  Somehow I managed to go home that day with no new toys!
However, that night I had a little party, and my sister and brother in law brought me a little present.  I hadn't seen this one before, a Maisto blinged out bronze colored 1:18 Challenger!

I modified the scoop to make it open on one of the T/A models I have built over the years.  It wasn't too hard to do, I just carefully carved away the plastic I didn't want there, then made up a new lower part of the scoop with a piece trimmed from a sheet of thin plastic.  Then glued that piece on and used a little putty and sanding to make it look clean.

BOY I wish they would build a detailed version in 1/18 of Sam Posey's car! And the Racing Cuda's as well!

LOL I hear ya I too have run out of display area at last count I have just over 150 1/18 and close to the same of the 1/24. It's like a drug addict or something I have to tell myself over and over , JUST WALK AWAY! :smilielol: I have a real soft spot for any racing diecasts except Indy cars and the like. Lemans racing, Nascar, and Trans-am are my favourite! The triple black T/A looks great!

There are some real nice diecast models available of Trans Am Penske Camaros and Moore Mustangs, these companies are really missing a big market here by not offering a Posey Challenger and Gurney 'cuda (though there might be a problem for a diecast company to get permission from Hot Wheels to use their name on the cuda replica).

Thanks! I bet I spent over 200 hours building that one back in the 90's.
I have a ton of unbuilt models, maybe this winter I should try to knock off a few...

:faint:  Not only talent, you have some patience!!!  Looks killer!

When I do models, if it's a straight build without custom work, I think I usually do it in about a weeks time, other wise it becomes back shelf material.  I guess I like to see results fast.

Right now I'm working on the Nightrider's escape car from Mad Max, a '72 Holden Monaro that's converted from a '72 GTO as there are no Monaro kits easily (cheaply) available.

Nice haul! I almost picked up the M2 mopars. That Roadrunner set as well as the Daytonas looked great. Did anyone pick up those road warrior weaponized Challengers at Target? They looked kind of cool too. I think they were made by Jada called Battle Machines.

Here they are: http://www.battlegrip.com/?p=5275&cpage=1

Very cool Zip Zap!

Just an FYI, there were Challengers made several years ago.  :2cents:  Looked like the Fast and the Furious Challenger, Orange with black top.
