youre welcome,
but Ive seen some other links to some awesome detailed models within this thread (which Ive kept an eye on).
There are a few guys out there with way too much time on their hands

I have a hankering for 1:18 die cast, but I'm not serious into it. About 8-10 cars, with 3 cudas, including my latest toy being a sassy grass 71 440-6 my wife got me for Christmas.
I'm in the process of stripping a few part from my other cudas to make the sassy grass 71 look just like my real limelight 71 (the colors are close enough for government work) for me to stick it on the dash at shows and cruise-ins.
Its got working seats, glove box, "real" carpet, etc. and I'm swapping a rimblow wheel, rallye dash and a few other little pieces from another 1:18 car. Trying to find the 1:18 torque thrust wheels, but no one has them in stock.
I'll post a few pictures later.

cut out the rallye gauges and about to swap them. Also going to swap the rimblow wheel setup, but havent removed it yet. Kinda tricky to do without breaking it.

working in engine area too.
Need to make the shaker bubble removable, so I'm gonna install some little pins (from paper clips) under the bubble, and drill holes into the carbs. Then to paint the shaker argent silver while still keeping the callouts. That may be difficult.
Eventually will repaint the bumpers in chrome paint, also swap out the wheels, and use a flat wrinkle finish to paint a vinyl roof!
Thats the plan anyway. May take me a while, since I can never find much more than 15 minutes to fiddle with it, unless its a rainy day like today. Only 60 degrees outside though.
Not too bad.

I like to mess with models and I've done a little work with diecast mods.  I've done a couple and entered them in the World of Wheels in Boston for the model car contest and Have won Best of Show with both cars.  The car I'm hoping to make for April, if I ever get it started, is going to be the Mad Max Interceptor in 1:18 diecast out of a '69 GTO as the real diecast fo these cars go for over $100, too rich for my blood.

Here is a custom diecast I made to get an autograph but my son wanted me to enter it in the model car contest and actually ended up winning Best of Show and Best Diecast in the 2009 World of Wheels model car contest.  Factory Five Racing president Dave Smith was in the 1998 Run and Gun race where he flipped his 427 Cobra kit car.  The FFR team righted the car, put it back together with duct/electrical tape and mechanics wire and later won top honors getting the  “King of the Hill” title.  These pics are from the January 2009 WoW archives on the Factory Five Racing website.  The kit sidepipes weren't that good so these are made from solder and aluminum tubing.
