Hi Neil,

Sorry you have to part with your cars.  :-\

Have you posted them here?  Or if there is an ebay item number/s let us know!

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Well I have a ton of "collectable " diecast but I have to go the other way & unload most of them , cannot take them to Panama with me , I guess I need to get an inventory together but if anyone wants some of them I will sell them , I have about a dozen mispackaged Hotwheels & some damaged before packaging as well as treasure hunts & original redline cars. I listed a number of them on Ebay but no bites last week .

What do you have in 1:18 scale?

I find this post interesting because as I mentioned on a prior post, I am new to this board. I have always loved muscle cars and I now own 3 different ones and one classic. Believe it or not, I used to have another hobby that I was a very serious collector in and we had a chat board just like this. Here's the part where the connection comes in. I see many of you have mentioned how you collect diecast and one mentioned you have old hot wheels back to the vintage ones. Thats what I used to do. I had a very serious collection of old hot wheels which we called redlines. I had one of, if not the rarest collection in the midwest. Currently, there are two published books out there that have many of my cars in them that the authors requested. Or should I say cars that I had. I reached a point where I lost the desire of the hobby and sold my collection. Some of that money has paid for the last 2 muscle cars I now currently own. Believe it or not, for those of you who might not know, there is a lot of money in the older hot wheels. Especially the mint and rare ones. I miss my little cars but only till I climb in my 1:1's and then I think, hmmm, guess I dont miss them to much after all. I can always pull out a book and reminisce if I choose.
Brian

Just picked up this Dixie Challenger this morning.  Why is there a little piece of metal that hangs from the header panel to make it look like a split grill?  The car itself looks sort of like a mix of a Challenger and a '71 Road Runner or something.  The C pillar isn't quite Challenger material.  The Chrome inside the grill area is '70 Challenger though.  Was this originally some sort of funny car?  :clueless:

Different pic showing what I'm talking about the grill.  I think I'm going to circumcise it....  :icon16:

The Dixie Challenger, and-its predecessor the Rodger Dodger (Rodger Dodger has a blown hemi and exhaust pipes sticking out the hood), are re-releases of 1970's Hot Wheels cars.  The front of the car is 1970 Challenger, with the 1970 Cuda vertical center grille divider added.  The back half of the car is 1973 Charger SE.  The Rodger Dodger first appeared in 1974, the Dixie Challenger came out when the Dukes Of Hazzard craze hit and it originally had a General Lee paint scheme:

For another wild Mopar Hot Wheel, check out the Bye-Focal.  That one is a 1970 Challenger with an elongated front that accomodates 2 hemis with injector stacks.  It has a clear hood with dual six-pack scoops:

Nice list, Chryco!

Cox EZ Bee II RC plane

Purused craigslist, watch the ad when it was $100, then $75, then $50 so I decided to check it out.  Another Cox 0.049 engine RC plane.  Guy said I could have it for $40 but when I plugged in the batteries the servos didn't work so he let me have it for $15.  NIce guy.

Pic is just a representation of what I got.  No box but it was built then put on a shelf, never ran.  Engine has never seen fuel.  The gentleman never even put batteries so was surprised it didn't work.  Something to fiddle with... figure the engine alone is worth more than what I paid.
