thanks guys, I still cannot play anywhere near as good as I want but I can sit around and jam for a while now. I seem to be adicted to buying guitars though and that sucks. just so many cool ones to pick from. I am excited to get the Fender, I have played a friends and with that set neck and thin body its sweet. I love the humbuckers too and with coil tap I can make it sound single coil if I want to......the Sheraton fills my need for a hollowbody. it has Gibson 490R-490T pickups in it and it can really rock or do the blues thing all day.

Since the toys category is broadening a bit I'll add a few of mine. I'm a fan of WW2 military armor. These models are 1:16 scale. They are remote control and drive and the the turrets traverse and the guns raise and lower. They have sound and smoke generators in them. I have also scratch built and installed CO2 guns that fire either paintballs or 6mm airsoft glow tracer ammo.
First one is a Soviet SU-100 tank destroyer and the second is a German King Tiger. The monster of WW2.

Those are pretty neat like the idea of airsoft glow tracer but I would probably have rigged a .17HMR to it. The Konigstiger is neat. I saw a vid on youtube of a few RC tigers pretty neat and you can practice on the yard squirrel.

Those are cool!  Very cool that they can fire!  Just curious, how many servos do you use on the one that fires?

In the basement, left by the previous owner's sone, when I bought the house he lefta  Tamiya tank, not sure what scale as I usually do cars, but it's about, wild guess, 16-18 inches long.  All I remember is that it's in parts and it has metal tank treads.  I'll have to dig it out and mess with it.

Can you get away with only 2 servoes just to make it run?  :clueless:  Thanks!

HA! A Tamiya barn find. Pull that kit out and PM me a picture or something. It may be worth some money depending on it's state.

The tanks can have basic directional control with 2 channels. The kit you have probably is set up for 2 channels. Basically you need a 5 channel setup for something that moves the turret, elevates the gun, and fires.

Just in case you were curious just how big these things were in real life here is my German Jagdpanther tank destroyer vs. a Challenger. Same scales.

NIce!  Are you going to do an R/T or T/A?

Does this kit have the convertible version?  You could do a 1 of none convertible Challenger T/A!
