I may trade my sublime T/A, slapstick (motor doesn't match & no trans), for a 70 Cuda 383 4 spd that all match. Both are rust free.  Which, in your opinion is worth more?

The T/A's are rarer. I think the T/A is the one to keep

I love a big block 4 speed Cuda, but value wise I think you are better off with the TA.   :2cents:

Even though I don't have the matching trans or motor? (I do have a T/A block & heads from an AAR).  Plus the car is a slapstick & seems like most like a 4 spd in a T/A car.   Anyone know how many 383 4spd 70 Cudas were made?  BTW, both are canadian cars, the T/A for Canadian export & the Cuda has the oval made in Canada tag.

I would say that the mere fact of the numbers built would give the T/A an advantage in value.

Even though the Challenger is non numbers and an auto it would still bring more money than the cuda, primarily because the cuda is not a 71 and because of the 383. Not that being a 70 with a 383 is a bad thing, but the T/A is more desirable and you do have a T/A engine for it.

I dont know guys I think its going to come down to fender tags on this one...

I think that fact that the numbers matching 383 engine and 4sp cuda vs. the non numbers AT T/A are even up at this point.

what are the fender tags on these cars???  This would help make up my mind for sure.

I think I remember reading that production was pretty low for 70 383 Cudas w/ a 4 speed.  I know they only made 2400 or so T/A's, but the 4 spd cuda #'s were much lower.  The Cuda is Hemi orange & have to get all the options on the tag this weekend.  I think its a 3.55 suregrip, no AC, black interior, console, rallye dash.
I've built a 451 stroker for my 68 formula s, but might save it for the cuda.
The T/A's a Sublime car that someone painted b7blue, black interior, non rallye dash, 3.91 rear.  A former owner put a big block in it & cut the shroud on the hood that fits over the 6 pack, but that's fixable.  Its a tought decision, but I've always wanted my highschool cuda I bought new back in 70 & only diffeence was it was Lemon Twist/black top & interior vs Hemi orange, but no big deal to change it.

This is definitely a tough call.  What condition are the 2 cars in?  Are they both project cars?  It sounds to me like you are heding towards the Cuda.  If that's the case, then I would say go for it.  Are you looking for something to build and the sell?  That would really be the only reason to question the value of each.  Otherwise, if it is a car you are going to drive and own for ever, go with what you want.

This info makes it a no brainer!!

Get what you always wanted, fix it, drive it, break it, fix it better, drive it harder.  Repeat as necessary.

Based on that I think I got to go with the Cuda.  But that is just me.   :2cents:

If you are going to be keeping the car and not just selling it when done. Go with the cuda as that is what you really want.

I think I'll go w/ the Cuda.  Just sold my B5 440 U code Cuda & that really hurt to part w it.  It'd be aswsome to build one like I had 39 yrs ago, only much nicer & a lot faster.  451 stroker, Shaker hood, back window slats, magnum 500's...either Lemon Twist, blk top or Hemi orange will look awesome.   Thanks for the input & I'll post pics if the project is as good as I think it is.
