Torsion bar adjustment bolts.
« on: February 16, 2009 - 10:20:14 PM »
Are these bolts supposed to have threads all the way.?  My drivers side is a shoulder bolt and the pass side is not.  Trying to level the car a bit.......and ran into this...........

I've got them in two different lengths, and two different threads (coarse and fine), but all the bolts are threaded all the way, with at most 1/10" inch of a shoulder at the head.

I have never seen a factory bolt with coarse thread not saying it doesn`t exist but it would be out of a far different year than I have worked on

I have coarse thread ones. They're aftermarket I believe.
I think better than the OEM's. It's a lotta load on the finer thread ones when you crank em up.

fine thread was engineered to take more load though

Fine thread is easier to turn as there is less load per revolution.

I just pulled and cleaned the part for you. I am going to go ship it now. It works perfect with no thread damage.  Here's a picture. Glad to help you.

I am going to list the control arm forsale now. Someone might could use it. It has the swaybar attachment on it and it was a pass side
